You’ve heard me say it before and I’ll keep saying it until I don’t have breath the say it anymore.
I love Helping Up Mission. It’s my home away from home. It’s not that I feel good about serving there, though I do. It’s that she gives me so much more than she takes. I really feel like part of the family there, so it’s truly a blessing to get to partner once again with Brian and Diana Roberts, the biggest hearted chef in town, Chef’s Expression’s Jerry Edwards and team, HUM chef extraordinaire, Richard Sullivan and his team, and the best staff of volunteer servers on the east coast.
Brian and Diana bring Christmas gifts for all the guests, and this years’ was a baseball devotional book and personally designed book mark. The meal was fabulous. The love was flowing . . . and the thing is, HUM serves three meals a day. So if you’re feeling the inkling, call Frankie Moses at the mission and just say yes. Or if you’d be more comfortable, call me . . . I serve lunch on Wednesdays. We can serve together. I mean it. She gives way more than she takes.
