Pumpkin Patch.

Never jump into a pile of leaves with a wet sucker,”¬†quoth the great Linus Van Pelt.

I love Linus. He tells it like it is. And of the pumpkin patch, he adds:

Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere. He’s gotta pick this one. He’s got to. I don’t see how a pumpkin patch can be more sincere than this one. You can look around and there’s not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see.

My kids’ sincerity is palpable when it comes to pumpkin selection. I wouldn’t admit to you, reader, how long it took to choose the pumpkins this year. The rule never changes . . . you want it? you carry it. Boy, these kids push the boundaries. So much fun and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
