Winter’s Mill Senior. Isabella.

She was elusive. She was today. She was tomorrow. She was the faintest scent of a cactus flower, the flittering shadow of an elf owl. We did not know what to make of her. In our minds we tried to pin her to a cork board like a butterfly, but the pin merely went through and away she flew. (Jerry Spinelli, Stargirl)

Isabella and Stargirl may well share doppelganger tendencies in my estimation.  Unbound by rules, unfazed by expectation,  they both rock the ukulele.  Bella  just laughed when I asked if she pulled it out at lunchtime to serenade her classmates.  Thank you, Isabella, for saying YES to the whole experience . . . and for playing my silly photo games with a smile on your face and a twinkle in your eye, Stargirl.
