These young lovebirds innately know one of the keys of a joyful existence. Life is a collection of days, lived fully in repetition, and each is born with fresh wonder and possibility. There is joy all around to be found.
Kim and Brian exude hope as evidenced by their beautifully simple sunset autumn wedding at Baltimore’s historic McDonogh Chapel. I watched them find beauty in autumn leaves, delighting in baby Charlie, laughing and weeping through their heartfelt vows and foxtrotting with pure abandon. As a couple, they are passionate, transparent, and unafraid to speak words of love out loud. Surrounded by family, theirs was a wedding day marked by the celebration which honored two set of parents who’ve worked successfully at 40 and 35 year long marriages. Brian deemed Kim his partner in mischief. She honored him by surprising him with a stunning Rolls Royce driven by chauffeur, Jan Carter. Together, they danced a perfectly choreographed foxtrot amidst orange and gold leaves blustering in the wild sunset breeze. Romance is priority. Today I learned Badgely Mischkas lose none of their appeal kicked off to the side of the altar or carried in hand and Superman socks worn under a well fitting suit are dapper perfection. Today was very good in the collection of days in a life for Kim and Brian, a culmination of the last five years of dreaming big dreams, falling in love over and once again, and celebrating each other out loud.
It was truly an honor to be able to capture their wedding day.
