Here is what she has to say about him:
Nothing is ever too much trouble or effort for Dave when it comes to doing something for someone he loves. Nothing. Ever. He bakes me a birthday cake from scratch every year. One year he burned up two mixers and had to go out in the middle of the night for a replacement, just so he could deliver my cake to me first thing, next morning.
He is a pushover for a child or dog . . . and I mean any child or dog.
He looks at me like I am magic, but the truth is he is magic to me.
Here is what he has to say about her:
I love your commitment to family, patience and understanding, appreciation and gratefulness. I love that you love the bay and crabbing, your intellect and that we have long conversations into the night about what makes people tick. You are my best friend and are kind, passionate and perseverant. When you walk into a room, the temperature goes up at least three degrees.
Dave and Shellie joined their lives together yesterday at the trendy Blue Hill Tavern, surrounded by family and friends who have walked alongside them for years. It was record breaking cold outside, but inside the parts joined seamlessly to create Valentine’s Day perfection.
After a sweet first look inside the tavern, Shellie and Dave popped outside with me for some city shots. It was FREEZING and BLUSTERY, but Shellie threw her wrap off, grabbed her guy and headed out onto Conkling for some urban vibe. They are both so much fun together.
Mid afternoon, Dave and Shellie pledged their love to one another. We noshed on crab cakes in roasted corn, prime rib sliders and the most incredible roasted veggies topped with feta.
Dave’s wedding cake was a testimony to his grandfather, who immigrated from Poland during World War I, settled in Baltimore and opened a bakery. Baking is in Dave’s blood, and he is amazing.
Shellie and Dave, you have created such an atmosphere of love and acceptance for your families. To be in your aura is absolutely life giving. Your perfectly elegant soiree was wedding perfection in my book . . . a celebration of your love and your loved ones. Thank you for allowing me to capture the love that gives so many JOY!
A special shout out to Shellie’s sister, Shannon, who flew in from the midwest midweek, and handled many of the details. She served as wedding planner, floral designer, concierge and cruise director and did it all with a wink and a smile. What a gift.
